Alright, gather around, everyone! It’s story time!

Thursday-

So today’s the big day. I fly out to Baltimore after work from Midway Airport. Of course, first TSA stops me and inspects my bag for bombs. Turns out that my TSSSF card deck showed up as a solid metal brick in the scanner. TSSSF staff told me that it’s because the cards are from china, so they are likely made with lead paint. I arrived at BWI late, and the airport was freaking huge to walk through, but I eventually got to the hotel around midnight, had a quick dinner, and went to bed.

Friday-

It’s the first day of Bronycon! I woke up bright and early at 7am to get to the con center and set up the vending booth. I didn’t set an alarm so as not to wake up my roommates, but I still woke up perfectly at 7am somehow. I guess I have an amazing Sarkeesian rhythm.

I set up my booth with Frist and we began the vending day at 10:00am. The vendor hall flooded in an endless stream of visitors, and I sold out of “Smoke Tree Everyday” in 3 hours, Kim Jong Glimmer and my custom TSSSF cards in 5 hours, and I would have sold out of “SCIENCE!” prints as well if I hadn’t printed extras. I got to meet a fan who was cosplaying Chrome, too!

I also had a chance to clear things up with Fearing (I thought he didn’t like me but it turned out to be a misunderstanding, so that was a huge relief), and Cloudy dropped off a box of food at my table. Even though I didn’t have NSFW dakis for sale at my table, I still managed to sell out of all my SFW and NSFW dakis, and I have 5 more on back order to ship ASAP. For dinner I went to 5 Guys with Fishy, Lunar Shine, and some other cool dudes. We went to see a submarine in the bay, then played TSSSF through the night.

Saturday-

Day 2 of the con. I got to my vendor booth as usual at 9am, but frist was gone since 7am to go buy additional prints since we both sold out of so many prints so quickly. He promised to be back by noon, but he ended up only arriving at 1:30pm. I couldn’t leave my booth, and I was freaking STARVING. Cloudy’s emergency lunch really came in handy OMG CLOUDY I LOVE YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! Seriously ;3; being hungry sucks. I got a next-day commission to be printed out of an OC which the commissioner didn’t have a reference for, but told me to draw a beige male earth pony with lime green eyes and burnt orange mane. He wanted it lined and colored, but not shaded and with no background, and the cutie mark is a shield and a bottle cap.

I had this printed out, and FedEx guy Christian was super nice. He even offered to print my art at a discount! Then, as luck would have it, I got commissioned twice more. Not that I mind, but there’s no way I could finish them all by Monday. I went to dinner with my friend Cirrus who is a total cutie, then went to the TSSSF panel. Of course Shia Leboufallo won, and I couldn’t be happier. After the panel, we played Chocolate Pony’s game “Horse Famous”.

Sunday-

I got 3 simultaneous daki orders this morning. I had about the same profit margin as on Saturday, which was about half of what I earned on Friday. After Vending hours ended, we took the booth apart and I went swimming. We played a game called sportsball, which is an ingenious game we came up with where one hits the ball as much as possible without it hitting the water. MXC kept hitting the ball out of the pool, I think he was doing that on purpose. After the pool, I played TSSSF with the tumblrpons and had Chipotle for the first time (which I learned is just mexican fast food).

Monday-

Time to play some hop scotch!

OH SHI-

So today was kind of a rough day. Of course, saying goodbye was hard. I’ll miss all my friends from bronycon, many of whom I won’t see for another 11 months. My plane was delayed for 3 hours before being cancelled, and I eventually got back to Chicago on Tuesday, only to have an ATM eat about half of my money earned and spit out an error (I called Chase and they’re going to fix it, however). Now, life goes on as normal.

Here I have 2 cards from Spirit, 8 exclusive TSSSF cards from the crew, I got an autograph from Pixel Prism on my misprinted TSSSF cheerilee card, a sticker of Google Chrome, a badge I made, an autographed sketch by Fearing (huehue it’s actually his business card), my badge, an autographed letter from the comptroller of Maryland extorting me for a 6% cut of my money, a headshot drawing of Chrome, an expanded TSSSF box for all my new cards, and a changeling ribbon from Adamant.
