All I have to say is, I'm wishing you well on your medical tests and life overall Mister or Madame. That recent picture, you called sad, I saw it as something wondrous. The shimmer of the setting, the lighting of the snow, the soft detail on every strand of her hair, and the visible reflection of something in her eye was just plain cool. Don't ever doubt the beauty of what you can create in an emotional state, for the splendor may hold a new journey in another's eyes, as it did with me.

Awww <3 <3 Anon with a heart of gold. Thanks, you. Got a little misty from your note (and all the other kind ponies who have written me.) The concept in that one was to have her be seeing something that she liked off camera, but it was cold/windy outside. It was really just to try a different shader node method on the hair, as I was having trouble concentrating. I’m glad you thought it was pretty. Generally I like to make playful things, but I agree that emotional states do indeed have a strong impact on art.

If you go waaaay back there’s one of Discord and Fluttershy that I made when I was having a horrid day, and that’s one of my stronger pieces even though it’s old and I’m much better in a technical sense these days. It’s still one of my favorites so far as the layout goes and the emotion it conveys.

Thanks everyone for writing in and wishing me the best! Tell my organs that, would you? One in particular doesn’t feel like doing its job lately, and I really need that one to get on the ball to like, keep me alive. Physically fit young people that don’t drink (me! I’m not overweight! I run marathon distances! I eat broccoli!) should not have a liver that’s like “Ahhh. Fuck it. You handle blood filtration I’m not feeling it.” Grr! I’ll get that bastard into shape, hopefully. I want to make it to at least 70 and I’m not even half way there.

Anyway. I’ll avoid being a drama pony and try to get back in character, here in the future <3

Given the recent “art theft” topic that’s been going around, this is rather timely. If you’re an artist that posts on Derpi it looks like a shady company is selling your stuff.

Like, I’m a little honored to see something of mine that’s for sale, sure, but people really shouldn’t do this. And of all the things they chose to sell of mine, did it HAVE to be the one where the Wonderbolts are raping the CMC? Come on. Pick that classy one with Cheerilee and her sister at least.

I like the new hair, but without tuffs of hair on the rest of the model and the shine it has it makes the coat look very plasticy, thought I might give a heads up for what to improve. :)

Yeah I totally agree. I can’t fix it in the thing that’s rendering now, but I should have a good solution for the next one that I make that should look pretty good. Horse fur is tough stuff but I pretty much have it down, now. On the one that will come out in a couple days I tried to hide it a bit so they don’t seem quite as plasticky, but I’m going to do a super-realistic, look-in-the-mouth type thing on the next one that’s kind of like a ponythroat drawing if you’re familiar with him.
